Up to four varieties are produced from their honey. They are available as gift sets in 250g or 500g jars.
Around the former monastery
Accessoires
The ceiling of the former monastery church of St. Michael is adorned with a painting of over 580 plants, which was created at the beginning of the 17th century. It is a very special kind of garden that has fascinated and inspired people since time immemorial. Sections of this plant world can be purchased on bags and other accessories.
Slate boards
In addition to the accessories, old slate slates from the roof of St. Michael's monastery church are cut to size at the Bamberg Lebenshilfe workshops and offered with various laser engravings of the Sky Garden plants or simple lettering, for example as labels for herb beds or as doorbell signs next to the front door.
Chenille towels
A masterpiece of architecture: the heavenly garden in St. Michael's monastery church – a masterpiece of weaving: the heavenly garden as a chenille towel
Initiated by the Bamberg-based company “Betten Friedrich,” the bathroom and home textiles manufacturer “Feiler” from Hohenberg an der Eger produced high-quality towels made from chenille yarn – entirely made in Germany.
"Screen"
Developed and assembled by Studio Minzi and manufactured by Lebenshilfe Bamberg, old slate tiles from the roof of St. Michael's Convent are given a new lease of life as a “picture surface.” The construction does not require any adhesive. A collection of unusable parquet floorboards is also available in our monastery shops.
Embroidery patterns
On the initiative of Wolllädla Bamberg, nine embroidery patterns of individual plants from the Sky Garden are available. The instructions have been created with great attention to detail by Wolllädla itself. Whether pineapple, pepper, or mullein, whether on clothing, cushions, or tablecloths—there are countless possibilities. The matching yarns are available at Wolllädla.
Saint Otto
A “Circular trail in the footsteps of St. Otto of Bamberg” and “The Otto tablets of St. Michael in Bamberg” provide entertaining information about the life and work of the popular bishop in Bamberg and his pilgrimages to what is now Poland.
In the 900th anniversary year of the first pilgrimage, you can purchase the set of both books for 12,00 €.
Bamberg wimmelt
As part of the 20th anniversary celebrations of the Bamberg World Heritage Foundation, the book “Bamberg wimmelt” (Bamberg is teeming), whose first edition from 2016 is now out of print, has been reissued. Three new motifs—the eastern plateau on Michelsberg, the Böhmerwiese in Gärtnerstadt, and the Alte Hofhaltung during the Calderon Games—show further facets of the World Heritage Site.
